Our Learning
Autumn Term
November 2025
This autumn term in Norway Spruce class has been full of learning and exciting activities. In maths, pupils have been working on money, recognising coins and notes, counting amounts, and applying their skills in practical tasks. During Road Safety Week, they took part in activities that helped them understand how to stay safe near roads. In RE, pupils have been learning about Muslims, exploring beliefs, celebrations, and daily life. Alongside this, the class has enjoyed a wide range of learning across the curriculum, including creative art projects, reading and writing tasks, science investigations, and PE sessions that have helped build confidence and teamwork. It has been a busy and positive term, with everyone making great progress.
Settling In
September 2025
In Norway Spruce we have been developing our understanding of the Ant and the Grasshopper, delving deeper into the vocabulary to better understand the text. We have also been sequencing the story.
In maths we have explored different sock pattern, discussing the colours, shapes etc. We have also been learning about 3D shapes and their properties.
In Art we have drawn our own buildings in the style of LS Lowry including matchstick men. In computing we have been looking at different search engines and how to search for things safely. We copied and pasted an image of our choice on to a word document with support. We also created poppies for our poppy wreath ready for Remembrance Day.
